About This Tour
Take a 3-hour afternoon bike tour of Vancouver along the False Creek seawall. Go back in time as you visit some of Vancouver's oldest neighborhoods including Yaletown, Gastown, Chinatown and Strathcona. Then follow the SkyTrain to the Olympic Athlete's Village for a glimpse of one of Vancouver's greenest neighborhoods. Conclude your small-group tour (up to 8 passengers) with a stroll through the lively Granville Island Public Market before heading back to the bike shop aboard a small ferry boat. Hotel pickup and drop-off is not included.

Itinerary

The tour is lead by Vancouver's top local bicycle guides.

Riders will have a fabulous view of Burrard Inlet, the Vancouver Inukshuk and English Bay.

The afternoon tour uses the False Creek Seawall as its main transportation path. Guests will see a number of public art installations, the Stadium District, Sunset Beach, Olympic Village, Charleson Park and Granville Island.

The tour stops at the Yaletown Roundhouse for a short talk on Vancouver's rail history.

Guests will ride through Vancouver's oldest neighbourhood and see the Gassy Jack statue, the Gastown Steamcock and the Woodwards building.

Guests will see Vancouver's historic Chinatown.

Riders will travel through Vancouver's oldest residential neighbourhood. Stops include the Hendrix House, a Vancouver Special and the home of Mary Lee Chan.

Guests will see a number of installations from the Vancouver Biennale. This list includes the Engagement Rings, 217.5 Arc x 13, Giants by Osgemeos, Trans Am Totem and Acoustic Anvil.

Guests will see the Vancouver Athlete's Village for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Guests will have 10 minutes to explore the market.

The tour takes guests on to Granville Island, an arts and crafts neighbourhood that specializes in locally made items. Guests are given 10 minutes to explore the Granville Island Public Market.

We catch a small Aquabus water taxi across False Creek.

Riders will pass by Sunset Beach on their way back to the bike shop.

- Basis fitness level required for 3-hour, 11-mile (18-km) ride
- Operates in all weather conditions; please dress appropriately
- Sunscreen and sunglasses are highly recommended
- Heights of riders must be provided at time of booking
- Riders should arrive 15 minutes early for sizing and paperwork
- Minimum age is 13 years
- No bathrooms on site. There is a Starbucks across the street. Please come ready to ride.
